THE FIRST PHYGITAL DESIGN STUDIO

Make manufactured goods unique

Redefine the uniqueness and sustainability of manufactured goods.
By leveraging the power of Web3 and advanced technologies, we enable brands to transform standard products into exceptional items that stand out for their individuality and environmental responsibility.

PROBLEM 1/2

In today’s manufacturing industry, the prevailing challenge is the
ubiquity of standardized products that lack individuality, uniqueness and that offer poor sustainability performance.
Subtractive manufacturing processes produce items that, while
identical in efficiency and function, fail to meet the growing consumer
demand for uniqueness and environmental responsibility.

PROBLEM 2/2

Furthermore, the absence of product traceability and detailed
materials information hampers efforts towards sustainability, making
it difficult for products to be resold, repaired, remanufactured, or recycled effectively.
This scenario contributes to environmental degradation and overlooks
the potential for meaningful customer engagement through unique and long-lasting product experiences.

MISSION STATEMENT

Unum Solum, empowers brands to create deep customer
engagement and embrace the future of manufacturing,
where every product has a story, a physical and digital
identity.
WE MAKE GOODS UNIQUE.

Our innovative approach combines physical and
digital product ownership certification through digital product
passports, ensuring every item not only has a distinct
aesthetic but also contributes to a Circular Economy.
How?
By making key products information such as production
history, material footprint, repair/remanufacturing/recycling
techniques accessible, authenticated, in the digital passports
we enable the products’ multiple lifecycles and materials
cascading use across industries.
ONE LOOK AND YOU CAN TELL IT’S UNIQUE

TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW : THE CONCEPT

We start from a simple idea :
If we know what is a product made of, we can easily reuse, repair it, remake it, recycle it.
Therefore, key product information must be easily accessible, visual and authenticated

Traditional manufacturing

Shape and surface patterns display limited information ex: mold batch, certifications

UnumSolum customsingularization

Shape and surface patterns display enchanced information, ex: components material, environmental score, user manual, use state,
disasembly method… and a lot of more

TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW : INSPIRATION

Our software solution singularizes the surfaces, shapes of batch produced products with visual patterns and metadata to identify the products on a blockchain.

Our solution empowers brands to design and produce products that
are truly made to last. The longer a product and its components are
in use with multiple users, in multiple lifecycles, the more value can be created for the end-consumers, the producers and all the economic actors that will engage in the product’s life extension through customization, modularity, upgrade, repair and remanufacturing activities.

Our solution also offers the potential to scale distributed and shared
manufacturing within and across industries. Through product and
component materials transparency and authenticated ownership
accessible in the products’ digital passports, cross-industry
manufacturing can be deployed, at scale.

We anticipate a near future in which our phygital solution will
empower electronics consumer goods to share components, their
CAD files, product passports and work on standardized parts to cycle
within their production units and with other manufacturers.

7. LINK THE PRODUCT AND ITS DIGITAL PRODUCT PASSPORT TO MANAGE THE ASSET

A turnkey 7-step process to seamlessly integrates physical products with digital assets, making products unique without requiring web3 skills.

We generate unique 2D / 3D CAD files with associated metadata, finalizing the phygital product service system with a user web portal and packaging. We then link the products to their digital product passports and setup the assets management process with options for users with or without web3 wallets allowing the customers to create accounts and access their products’ digital passports with a simple email.

We are ‘platfom-agnostic’ and we are currently partnering with Certhis to create digital product passports.
Certhis covers a certain number of blockchains compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) such as Ethereum itself (ETH), but also the BNB Chain (BNB), Avalanche (AVAX) or even Polygon (MATIC).

It is perfectly possible to deploy a collection of NFTs on multiple blockchains at the same time.

Impact on sustainability

Sustainability is at the core of our solution

We enable products extended lifecycles by providing secure
access to trustworthy product information through the digital
product passports

This innovative approach facilitates repair, remanufacture, and
recycling activities by providing detailed product information
hosted on public blockchains to post-sale markets

Second-hand, repair, remanufacture actors can access
authenticated, verifiable, secure information about products
and their components. This is the missing element to scale new
business models based on the ‘use value’ of products and their
multiple lifecycles and materials cascading use and cascading
value across industries

Through this information lever, Unum Solum helps reduce material
footprints and product GHG emissions, aligning with Circular Economy principles and fostering a shift towards more sustainable production and consumption models in various industries, including luxury and premium goods markets.

Brand Growth and Feedback

Unum Solum has initiated collaborations with artisan producers
and launched a Ledger swivel collection on NFT marketplaces to
gauge market response and validate the commercial and technical
viability of their solution.
This engagement strategy has provided valuable feedback,
indicating a strong market interest in the integration of phygital
solutions for unique and sustainable product offerings.
Through these initiatives, Unum Solum is not only raising
awareness but also refining its approach based on direct insights
from its target audience, laying the groundwork for brand growth in
both the luxury and premium goods sectors.

Natural resources are finite. Fact.
Businesses will keep producing goods. Fact.
Consumers will keep consuming goods. Fact.

To create products fit for the 21st century you need to
produce less volume, and create more value for the
users, the consumers whilst respecting the planetary
boundaries.

To do so, you need to make products that last, a very long
time.

To do so, your products needs to be modular, repairable
and have multiple lifetimes.

To do so, you need authenticated, trustworthy information
about the products, their components, the materials.
To do so, you need the digital passport of your physical
products.

We empower you to create these future-fit products. Simply.
